What We Do in Mukono

Four interconnected pillars transforming abandoned children into thriving, Christ-centered leaders.

Pillar One: Family First

Child Care & Family Cottages

Children do not belong in institutional dormitories. Our campus is built around family units, each headed by a Ugandan house mother, so the children grow up together as brothers and sisters. Children reach us through the police and child protection services — some abandoned, some fleeing violence at home. We search for their families wherever we can; where no family can be found, they stay with us.

Baby House & Neonatal Care

24/7 specialized nurses caring for critically abandoned newborns until they are ready for a family cottage.

Lifelong Commitment

Children do not age out at 18. We support them through secondary school, university, or trade graduation.

Pillar Two: Mind & Calling

Christian Education & Vocational Academy

Education is the engine that breaks generational poverty. Noah’s Ark operates complete Nursery, Primary, and Secondary academies serving both our residential children and over 1,000 pupils from vulnerable surrounding villages.

Primary & Secondary Schools

Nationally accredited curriculum grounded in biblical virtues, computer literacy, science, and music.

Vocational Training Center (VTC)

Practical apprenticeships in carpentry, automotive mechanics, commercial tailoring, catering, and electrical engineering.

Pillar Three: Physical Restoration

Health Center & Maternal Clinic

The Noah’s Ark Family Clinic cares first for pregnant women and children, because a healthy child starts with a healthy mother. It provides prenatal and postnatal care, safe deliveries, and treatment for common illnesses such as malaria and typhoid — in an area where roughly half of all births happen without proper medical help.

Malnutrition Stabilization Ward

Specialized clinical unit providing therapeutic milk formulas (F-75, F-100) that rescue starving babies on the brink of death.

Safe Maternal Deliveries

Over 350 babies delivered safely each year by certified Ugandan midwives, reducing maternal and infant mortality.

Pillar Four: Sustenance & Agriculture

Sustainable Farming & Daily Nutrition

Malnutrition here is rooted in poverty and in not knowing which foods a child needs. We treat it with therapeutic peanut paste and powdered milk — as outpatients with regular check-ups, or in our inpatient centre when a child is severely malnourished — and we teach parents in villages and schools how to prevent it.

Dairy Herd & Poultry Farm

Supplying fresh calcium-rich milk and eggs every morning to fuel growing children and recovering patients.

Student Agriculture Training

Pupils learn sustainable agro-ecology techniques, soil conservation, and modern irrigation they can implement in their home villages.
